ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

9:30 am in the Chapel

Teacher:  Steve Dorobiala

Title:  "How to Do Evangelism"

While many evangelism classes focus on what to do, this class will focus on "how to do evangelism."  If we are to fulfill our responsibilities as Christ commanded in the "GREAT COMMISSION," we need to be equipped to do so.

Title:  "The Parables"

Every good teacher or preacher understands the significance of illustrating a lesson with examples from every day life.  This serves to make an abstract concept relevant.

 

Jesus was a master story teller but he was far more than that.  His parables had a unique purpose, to produce conviction and response.

 

With these parables he intended to test the crowd and force them to commit either to be with him or against him.  At the same time, he used them to unveil the secrets of the "Kingdom of Heaven" to his disciples.

Come and study these parables with us at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings beginning September 13th.

Title: Chip Ingram\s "The Miracle of Life Change"

If we're honest most of us would answer, 'No.' You've tried numerous programs that promise big changes, but in reality, deliver very little results. You long for transformation, but don't know where to begin. There's good news for you, there is hope! Life change is possible! "

 

Please note from Dean:

This class will run for 10 weeks--Sept 13 through Nov 15--and it is limited to 10 attendees (there are 8 openings left).  There is a workbook for purchase, it is approximately $8; if this is an issue, potential attendees may contact me.  I will be purchasing the books well in advance so they are ready. 

 

I've facilitated this study in a small group and it was truly life changing. The study uses Ephesians 4 as it's text. Each session will start promptly at 11:00 on Sunday morning and run until approximately noon. There is a 20 minute DVD presentation each week, as well as discussion time and bible study that comes after that. 

It is my hope that people wanting to join will be able to attend all sessions.
